Rare animals

Of the many questions left from the wildly successful Harry Potter franchise – the most prominent is why did he choose the weaker of the Owl species Hedgwig? Especially considering Harry could have obtained the “bringer of death”, the Owlshark.

“Oh no Voldemort has come back to life and has a scary snake ….. Owlshark – destroy” (admitidly the book, nay the whole series, would have been a lot shorter and profits significantly reduced. Would this have been so bad? It would have made for a sweet scene in the movie franchise though).

Their fluffy demenour is deceiving, this has meant children have been well educated in the dangers of the Owlshark through picturebook depictions – as seen here. Once the Owlshark has a small child in its sights, the child is very unlikely to be heard from again. This feature again could have shortened the Harry Potter franchise considerably. Once again, would this have been so bad?

Strange animals

“Hi I’m Harry Potter, thats a nice owl……..” (insert pre-pubesant screaming).

Originally found in the Caribbean where the warm weather made great night time hunting, the Owlshark depending on its mood and who pissed it off that day, will fish from the water or hunt on land.

Like most owls they have three sets of eyelids and like sharks have three sets of teeth – this has no added advantage other than beautiful symmetry and genereally increasing the level of coolness of the animal. The ability of being able to turn its head 360 degrees ensures no one gets away from the Owlshark. The only known defence is to use small animals/children/eldery as shields from its great talons.

In recent times the Owlshark has begun to eat chihuahua’s like a drunk man eats popcorn chicken. Though the handbags they are contained in often choke the beast.
